VOLUNTEERING

Volunteering is a fantastic way to support our work and animals. While no previous experience is necessary, be prepared to get muddy and work in all weathers – rain or shine, sleet or snow, light or dark! Volunteers must be aged 18 or over. We provide full training.

Typical volunteering opportunities include:

🐑 Help round up the sheep to pen them for health checks, hoof trimming and shearing.

🐑 Assisting with handling sheep during hoof trimming, health checks and medication administration.

These tasks require physical stamina as they involve running around and handling animals weighing up to 50kg. We generally round up the whole flock every three months, with additional needs arising for emergency care.

We also need volunteers to provide cover for the core sanctuary team from time to time, especially if any of the team members are travelling. These duties will involve conducting daily checks at the sanctuary to ensure all the animals are well, topping up their water, putting out hay and mucking/cleaning their sleeping areas.

To be considered for volunteering with us, please complete our online Volunteer form below.

Once we receive your application, we will review it and invite you to the sanctuary to meet you, tell you more about our work and discuss the volunteering activities you'd be suited for. After our meeting, we will place you on our list of approved volunteers and contact you as and when we need your help.

FUNDRAISERS

We are always looking for committed fundraising volunteers to help raise vital funds to support our animals.

Responsibilities include organising and promoting fundraising events both online and offline and identifying new funding streams.

You’ll have the opportunity to think of creative new ways to raise funds to make a real difference to our animals.

Complete our online volunteer form below to be considered.
